Well folks, record heat levels are here and if you aren't already, hydrate! (Alcohol doesn't count unless you're inside in the A/C). Today has been a busy day, so I'm going to substitute my usual sarcastic diatribe with links to some stories I found interesting.
Notice the current bubble surrounding the mass shootings and the effect it is having not only on politics, but policies. I still maintain it is not the weapons fault, it is the individual. As someone astutely pointed out, you used to be able to buy a rifle from a catalog and there were no background checks. I am not saying that I disagree with background checks, rather I am adamant that the problem is with society, and of course we have instantaneous access to news.
I realize that there are many who feel strongly about this subject, and I am not looking to debate it. I respect your right to an opinion while I maintain my own.
