Make America Great Again

It's always entertaining to see President Trump and the opposition in full swing. This week has proved to be no exception. Sometimes I really wonder why the Democrats are even showing up, much less thinking they have a chance. The unifying party line seems to be 'We hate Trump, let's ban more weapons.'

As a Second Amendment supporter it always surprises me how people are so quick to talk about things they have no experience with. Even the simple common reference to the AR-15 platform as an assault weapon is infantile.

The fact that an average Joe could strangle you with the shirt you are wearing doesn't lead us to ban shirts does it? The FAA has banned many things from travelers, but the common pen is still ok. In the right hands it is just as deadly as a knife. So too the venerable AR-15 platform suffers at the hands of the media, simply because it looks scary and has the capacity to carry multiple rounds. They miss the fact that it is no more dangerous than the classic and historic .30-30, preferred by many for both home and land defense. End of rant, but I look forward to your comments.
